U-Drop-Inn Cafe ΓÇó When J.M Tindall decided to build the cafe and service station, he used a design that his friend, John Nunn, had sketched out using a nail in the sand. The $23,000 construction was begun in 1936. A contest was held to name the cafe and service station; the $5 prize going to an eight year old boy who submitted the unique name, "U-Drop-Inn." Try the special burgers here, they're great. 105 E. 12th, tel# 806-266-2221
